Nearby, between two fences, you should find a sign that reads "South-West: Vendavel Fortress, North-West Cierzo Village".

From Cierzo, you'll want to follow the road, keeping to its right side until you reach the northernmost spot in the purple area where three roads intersect. Perhaps the easiest one to reach is the one in Chersonese. You'll find one Immaculate's Cave in each region. Given how it's an unmarked location, you'll have to trust your gut, or just continue reading this guide here. In order to get closer to it, you'll have to find the Immaculate's Cave. Oh and if the game is too easy or too slow for you, I recommend speedhacking, was fun. While the Outward Possessed Boon isn't the hardest buff to obtain, it's not exactly waiting for you in the open. you could find special plants that would perma increase your stats or you could use them to brew stronger potions if you had the recipe they could have added in a perma stamina/regen boost plant/recipe.įor all it's faults, I think the music is good though. I think they missed a big oppotunity in stealing some of what gothic did, e.g. I do agree that the game feels a bit empty, but that does play into it's strength somewhat, the "survival" thing it has going, though the landscape design is a bit amateurish. Why didn't they add in spells that could fabricate a tent? Water? Food? What about enhancing spells to enhance movement speed, stamina regen? What about teleport spells? Sure some of these spells would go against the "philosophy" of the game, but isn't that the point? Isn't magic supposed to kinda break the game in a way? At least once you're powerful enough. you do get another 4 by learning advanced combinations, but those "advanced" spells are just either more powerful versions of the first 4, or similiar. in runic magic you learn 4 symbols which you can combine to make spells, well guess what? You can't repeat symbols, and not all combinations work, so you actually can only make 4 spells. The magic in this game had potential, but there weren't nearly enough spells. I know there's a "passive" you have to learn, but it costs a fuckton, uses 1 skill, and only gives you 0.15 regen! Come on! Oh and I really hate how you don't get any innate mana regeneration, I always hate it when mana doesn't regen depending on max mana. I also don't like the "power" progression, I think they should have added in a lot more passives for you to learn, but also made the beginning harder. I've played the games for like 2 days now, I think it's a flawed gem, could have used another year in the oven. All in an optional side-quest that would have likely resulted in the destruction of Cierzo had I not intervened. Fucking awesome.Īnd that is a highly abridged version of what happened too.īasically great quest chain, exploration, hand placed loot, equipment progression, skill progression, level design, quest rewards, and world design.

Head back to Cierzo and the head guard thanks me and gives me the helm right off his head. Found myself standing outside the ancient ruins north of the northern bandit camp, and went "wow, cool." Ran back to the bandit witch, who reluctantly thanked me and gave me a backpack that slows the spoiling of food and has 75lb capacity and a power coil. I did so, he unsealed the door, I got an awesome new breast plate of black armor, continued forward to this alternative exit. He explained how things got out of control and promised to unseal the frozen door if I found his other body parts and put him back together. Delved deeper and found a talking skull, who was apparently the keeper of this place. Came across a door frozen shut by magical ice. Quest done, right? Nope, there was more tomb to explore. I went to the corrupted tombs and fought the terrifying beast. He pleaded with me that I put an end to the husband as well. Turns out he was the teacher of the bandit witch and knew what she had done to her husband to transform him into the terrible Wendigo. Popped out into the harrowing valley, and discovered a tower belong to a hermit practitioner of the 5 winds, so I got some cool base level spells from him. Had to pass through a challenging ghost fortress to get there with some really nice level design.
